Alternative Weight Loss Programs - Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and Anne Collins - a Structured and Supported Way to Lose Weight
There is so much information, and misinformation, available on the internet about diet and weight loss, it is almost impossible for an individual to sort out the genuine help from the hype. If you really want to go it alone, and are mentally equipped to do so, then there is no doubt you can find some really helpful information online.
For many people, though, confusion and cynicism reign, and they are not sure where to start and who to believe in their desire to lose weight. For these people, and those who prefer a social and supportive approaching to losing weight, a weight loss program which involves live support, and social interaction with others in an overweight situation, may well be worth considering.
There are lots of weight loss programs around, and you will no doubt find some advertised locally. We draw attention to three of the better known programs below, but these are by no means the limit of what diet help you may find, whether online or offline.
Weight Watchers Weight Loss Program
Weight Watchers, for most of us, is the most famous of the supportive weight loss programs in the world. In most western countries at least you will find an infrastructure of local Weight Watchers groups, plus now an extensive internet presence. The main Weight Watcher web site a very useful hub for Weight Watchers, including access to recipes, details of meetings, online community, daily features and much more.
Jenny Craig Weight Loss Program
The Jenny Craig story goes back to the 1980's, and the company she and her husband created became a force in worldwide weight loss and dieting programs. The Jenny Craig diet program is another that brings with it a personal interaction and support groups, but has the distinction of a weekly consultation and a weekly diet that includes the food, not just suggested recipes.
Anne Collins Weight Loss Program
The Anne Collins weight loss program may not be as famous as Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig, but it does have a convincing following and amount of respect. It is another program that is heavy on support and encouragement, with a good number of success stories reported on the Anne Collins web site. In the case of Anne Collins, there are a choice of diet plans from which to choose, 9 in all, and all plans are based on simple every day foods which the whole family should happily share.
