Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss tends to be a favourite subject for conversation and reading. Weight loss articles in magazines abound; stories of successful weight loss make it on to tv. Everybody, it seems, is interested in finding a route to weight loss that does not conflict with their desires, so they will go through weight loss tip after weight loss tip to search for the one or two gems that will really help them lose weight.

Sometimes, a weight loss tip from a friend will tip the balance for somebody not convinced they could embark on a weight loss programme. So, to increase your chances of finding that gem of a tip, I have found you 12 new friends below, who will each give you a weight loss tip.


Weight Loss Tips- A Tip From Each of 12 Women

Most people who have succeeded, or attempted, to lose weight will have a favourite weight loss tip. Below I am listing 12 tips, a tip from each woman of 12. One of these may spark your success in your weight loss targets.

Weight Loss Tip 1 

"This one is not so good for Chinese and Japanese, but if I want to lose weight I use chopsticks. I'm not very good with them so it takes me a long time to eat a meal. I leave more than I usually do." - Lisa, 32

Weight Loss Tip 2 

"My grandmother told me to take one teaspoon of cider vinegar before every meal to eat up the fats. It may not taste very nice, but it helps. And you can always add pure honey to make it taste better" - Diane, 21

Weight Loss Tip 3 

"I use peer support! I make dates to play tennis, go for a walk, or something like that. There's no backing out when someone else is counting on me, so I get the exercise". -Cara, 22

Weight Loss Tip 4 

"I drink a full 12 ounce glass of water before I sit down to eat. It fills me up, and I have less room to eat, so I don't have as much as much at meals. A friend of mine does the same but adds psyllium husks." - Monica, 22

"I often rush out in the morning and forget breakfast. Before, I used to end up snacking at my desk halfway through the morning. Now I keep a box of Carnation Instant Breakfast in the break room, and have one as soon as I get to work. That way I have no more cravings for goodies at 11 am." -Deb, 45

"I strip down naked, and look at myself in the mirror at least once a week. That way reality stares me in the face. It gives me a big incentive to succeed in my weight loss attempts. It's easy to see any progress I have made, and how much weight I still need to lose". Vinnie, 34

"My secret weapon is sugarless gum. Whenever I crave a snack, or something sweet, I pop the sugarless gum into my mouth and start chewing. It works like beautifully every time". -Maddi, 43

"I buy myself something really slinky, and then hang it up where I can see it every day. The trick is that it should only be about one size too small . Too small, I just give up, as it's not achievable. But if the goal is just “that” close, it's a real motivator. Not just to me, but my boyfriend too. he starts to encourage me". - Shanae, 24

"I drink lots and lots of water when I'm on a diet. It helps flush out the system and keeps me feeling fresh. It also helps with the bad breath I get when I'm on a high protein diet". - Dena, 34

"Knitting works wonders if you watch tv a lot and snack at the same time. I used to snack like a pig while I watched T.V. at night. Since I started knitting, though, I've lost almost ten pounds, and I know it's because my hands are too busy to pop junk food into my mouth" -Liz, 25

"When I'm dieting, I keep fresh fruits and veggies all cut up, and ready to go in little snack containers. If I went to all the trouble of making them, I know I'll eat them instead of grabbing a bag of junk food on the go". -Amy, 16

"When I'm sitting in traffic or at my desk, I do tummy tightening exercises. Just pull in your tummy, hold for a count of 20, and release. Do that about twenty times and you can really feel it". - Sheila, 52
